Dr. Travis Cox

Dr. Travis is passionate about improving the lives of patients from all walks of life. Whether you're a young family of six, a high-performing athlete, or an avid gardener, Dr. Travis has your back. Drawing on 14+ years of clinical experience, he helps treat a variety of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions, including:

Utilizing various chiropractic modalities, Dr. Travis offers a blend of evidence-based physical medicine approaches tailored to your personal preferences. His treatments often include the following techniques:

  • Spinal and extremity joint mobilisations

  • Instrument-assisted soft tissue treatments

  • Dermal traction of peripheral nerve entrapments

When an individual’s  health issues go beyond neuro-musculoskeletal care, Dr. Travis uses a whole-body approach that incorporates diet, nutrition, and other evidenced-based lifestyle medicines he studied during his master’s degree program in functional medicine. His ability to collaborate with a diverse team of holistic health-care providers, such as acupuncturists, registered massage therapists, pharmacists and medical doctors enables Dr. Travis to integrate chiropractic care into your overall well-being effectively.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Travis enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife, Kate, and their three children: Cooper, Tristan, and Juliet. Together, the family enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and skiing. His personal passions include competing in trail running races, eating a plant-based diet, meditation, and working on his podcast, Plant-Based & Healthy.

Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) - Palmer College of Chiropractic - 2009

Dr. Travis Cox completed the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program at Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2009. The DC program is a rigorous, specialized curriculum focused on basic sciences and chiropractic medicine. The program typically lasts for four to five years, and coursework includes clinical training, practical experiences, classroom instruction, lab work, and supervised internships. 

 

After graduating from the DC program, Dr. Travis went on to become board certified in Chiropractic in both Canada and the United States.

Master of Science (MSc) in Human Nutrition & Functional Medicine - University of Western States - 2020

In 2020, Dr. Travis completed the Master of Science program in Human Nutrition & Functional Medicine from the University of Western States. This comprehensive degree program provides advanced education and training in the field of nutrition and functional medicine. Designed for healthcare professionals, such as chiropractors, naturopaths, and medical doctors, the curriculum covers nutritional biochemistry, advanced nutrient metabolism, functional medicine principles, clinical nutrition assessment, therapeutic interventions, research methods, and more. Students gain advanced knowledge and skills in analyzing and evaluating nutritional needs, developing personalized nutrition plans, and understanding the role of nutrition in maintaining optimal health and managing and preventing chronic diseases.
